Furnace Fest Birmingham Concert reviews
Theroy of a Deadman (Oh-Yea)
I thought Cavo was good. They had a little trouble capturing the audiences attention even though they did stayed positive. Playing Champangne toward the middle of their set as that song got the crowd going. Unfortunately, they played it at the end of their set before it started and left the crowd hanging. They were good but I am not sure if they have enough material to keep the audience engaged.
Theory of a Deadman: Very polished and they know how to capture the audience and keep it. Starting the Guns & Roses "Take me Home" song on guitar to let the audience sing it is genius. They should have been the headliner in my opinion.
Furnace Fest: I just don't get it. I have seen him twice and both times they have been so loud trying to be hard rock that it ruins his great vocal ability. He is too animated, and can't keep up the stamina. At one point, he admitted that he had to catch his breath in the middle of a song. I think he is having an identity crisis presenting himself as a hard rocker but his lyrics just don't meet the challenge in comparison to groups like Sevendust or Godsmack. However, I do have to give him props because the women sure do like him regardless of how it sounds.
